Behind the Hat
Hi - I am Lisa and I’ve loved fashion for as long as I can remember. My journey began with my first job at a fashion retailer, where I enjoyed setting up outfits on display and chatting with customers. Back then, I had no idea this passion would shape my career. I pursued graphic design in college without a clear direction in mind.
My career kicked off at an agency, eventually leading me to a home fashions company where I thrived on traveling to retailers and crafting packaging for various brands. This trajectory continued as I transitioned to two more retailers before landing a position at a large retailer focusing on fashion branding. Along the way, I worked with product development and created fashion brands and advertising. These days, I lead creative team at a shoe retailer - still living the fashion life.
After the challenges brought on by the pandemic, I decided to delve into Fashiers, bringing me full circle back to my roots in fashion, design, and creation. Working at a startup feels like the perfect blend of everything my 16-year-old self could have dreamed of.
Fashion has always been my creative outlet, a space where rules don’t apply, allowing me to express myself freely. Despite struggling with my weight and feeling excluded from the trendiest styles, fashion has enabled me to explore new looks and embrace a free-spirited approach to self-expression. I’ve witnessed firsthand how fashion can impact not just myself, but others as well.
Working at Fashiers alongside a passionate team has reignited my personal energy, reminding me of the kid who eagerly saved up their paycheck to indulge in fashion finds and still does to this day.
